You can use an LDAP server to provide login authentication for secured profiles. LDAP can also provide single-sign on with Symphony, so patrons who have authenticated for a profile can make a hold or request without needing to sign in again to the eLibrary OPAC.
To set up a connection to an LDAP server
| 1 | Log in to the Admin console. |
| 2 | Choose Security from the navigation pane. |
| 3 | Choose Authentication Servers from the Security menu. |
| 4 | Choose Add LDAP Server. |
| 5 | Complete the fields, as necessary. (For more information, see Fields: Add/Edit LDAP Authentication Server.) |
| 6 | When you have finished, choose OK. |
