Setting up a connection to an LDAP server

You can use an LDAP server to provide login authentication for secured profiles. LDAP can also provide single-sign on with Symphony, so patrons who have authenticated for a profile can make a hold or request without needing to sign in again to the eLibrary OPAC.

To set up a connection to an LDAP server

1 Log in to the Admin console.
2 Choose Security from the navigation pane.
3 Choose Authentication Servers from the Security menu.
4 Choose Add LDAP Server.
5 Complete the fields, as necessary. (For more information, see Fields: Add/Edit LDAP Authentication Server.)
6 When you have finished, choose OK.
